The Presidency of the Council of Higher Education issued the “Regulation on Consultation and Coordination of Disabled Students in Higher Education Institutions” which entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette dated June 20, 2006 and numbered 26204. Article 8 of the Regulation defines “Higher Education Institutions Disabled Student Units” and stipulates the establishment of such units in each university.

Kayseri University started its education activities on May 18, 2018, and in accordance with the relevant regulation, it was decided to establish Kayseri University Disabled Student Unit Coordinatorship with the Senate Decision on 25.02.2021. The Coordinatorship operates under the Rectorate to identify the academic, administrative, physical, psychological, housing and social needs of disabled students studying at Kayseri University, to plan, implement, develop and evaluate the results of the studies to be carried out in this field.
